Problems we solve
Crawlspaces, basements and attics are connected to your living space whether anyone planned it that way or not. Air moves between them all day.
Sound familiar?
Warm air rises and leaves the top of a house, and that pulls replacement air in at the bottom. In a lot of homes that replacement air comes straight out of a crawlspace or a basement — with its temperature, its humidity and its smell.
Put ductwork in one of those spaces and the connection gets stronger. The rooms connected to them end up inheriting conditions from a space nobody ever looks at.
What people tell us
You don’t have to have all of these. One is enough to be worth testing.
What usually causes it
These are the causes we find most often. Our testing reveals what those causes are.
A vented crawlspace in a humid climate
brings warm, wet outdoor air under a cool floor, which is where condensation starts.
Ductwork in an attic or a crawlspace
gains and loses heat where you don’t want it, and leaks straight into that space.
Open connections to the living space
rim joists, chases and hatches let those spaces feed air straight into the rooms next to them.

How we find it
We choose the tests based on your house and what it’s doing. Not every house needs every test.
Show whether the house is pulling air up out of the crawlspace or basement, and how strongly.
Taken on each floor, so we can compare those spaces with the rooms you live in.
Finds the hot and cold surfaces that show where air is leaking, where insulation isn’t working, and where things are wet.
Walls, ceilings, floors, doors and windows — the insulation, air and vapor barriers, and the ground cover under the crawlspace.
What you get
One to three days after the visit you get a video Home Performance Report — a walkthrough of your own house showing what we tested, what it means, and what we’d do about it, in the order we’d do it.
In your report folder
Then it’s your call. Do it yourself, hand the report to your own contractor, or have us manage the work. See what an inspection covers.

If the crawlspace or the attic is the problem, you’ll feel it in the rooms connected to them. Let’s test both.
